this one's for aaron

Two nights ago I had the most amazing dream.

I dreamed that the Claudia Fleming cookbook was back in print. In paperback actually. I spied it atop some woman's pile and stole it, and started making my way through the bookstore's aisles so she couldn't find me. Then I realized it was actually a remaindered copy, and only cost 18.99. So I set off to try to find the large stack of Claudia Fleming cookbooks that probably were there, because I knew someone who would exactly appreciate having a copy of that cookbook. Or five.

if only.
More about dinner at Aziza soon, when I can focus enough to write it.

LOVE IT!!! Would love it more if that had been reality and not a dream, but I love it nonetheless.
Some day I will get my hands on a copy!

This is really pathetic but it's on my agenda to visit the book at the library when I get back east. And, of course, haunt every used bookstore I can find just in case...

Though I'm down for some more used book store haunting, I think I have a new plan...pool all my friends together to spring for a copy on amazon. I mean desperate times call for desperate measures...right?

Okay...you are going to die!!! Two days after your dream...I was given a copy as a gift. That is right...I own that book.
I can't even believe it...but I will share, so don't be too jealous.

OMG!! Who gave it to you? What was your reaction? Did they understand what a big deal it was?

That's so crazy, because in the dream I knew I had to find more for you.

I'm so happy for you because I know how I'd feel if it were me.

But I'm also wicked jealous...

Maybe the universe will manifest me a copy soon.
Maybe one day I'll eat one of her desserts.

I'm happy for you...really, truly, it's a wonderful thing.
